Important information regarding our service agreements, warranties, privacy policies, and website usage terms.
1. Terms & Conditions of Business
These Terms and Conditions govern all supply and installation contracts provided by Bearfoot Flooring (“we”, “us”, “our”) to residential and commercial clients across Kent and London.
Quotations & Estimates
- All written quotations remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
- Quotations are based on the site conditions observed during the initial survey. Any unforeseen subfloor defects discovered prior to or during installation (e.g., hidden structural damage or uninspected moisture ingress) may require additional works and will be quoted separately before proceeding.
Payment Terms
- Residential Projects: A deposit is required upon booking to secure fitting dates and order materials. The remaining balance is due strictly upon completion of the installation.
- Commercial Projects: Payment terms will be specified in the commercial contract agreement or purchase order terms.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Free cancellation or rescheduling is available up to 5 working days before the scheduled installation date. Cancellations made after this period may be subject to restocking fees for specially ordered materials.
2. Workmanship Guarantee & Manufacturer Warranties
1-Year Workmanship Guarantee
- We provide a 12-month installation guarantee covering all fitting services from the date of practical completion.
- This covers defects resulting directly from fitting or subfloor preparation carried out by our installation team.
- The guarantee excludes normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, subfloor movement outside our control, or failure to follow recommended care and maintenance guidelines.
Manufacturer Warranties
- Product warranties (e.g., Amtico, Karndean, carpet wear guarantees) are provided directly by the manufacturer and subject to their specific terms and conditions.
3. Public Liability & Compliance
- Public Liability Insurance: Bearfoot Flooring holds comprehensive public liability insurance covering all residential and commercial site operations.
- Health & Safety: All commercial installations comply with standard UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) slip-resistance standards and relevant building fire safety codes (BS 4790).
4. Privacy & Data Protection
Bearfoot Flooring is committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.
- Information Collection: We collect personal details (name, address, email, phone number) solely for the purpose of fulfilling site surveys, quotations, and installation services.
- Data Sharing: We will never sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
- Data Security: All customer records are stored securely in compliance with UK privacy standards.
5. Website Terms of Use
- All content, images, and text published on this website are the intellectual property of Bearfoot Flooring or used under license.
- Unauthorised reproduction or distribution of website materials is prohibited.
